We had the great pleasure to welcome Tulip Siddiq, MP for Hampstead and Kilburn, to address the senior house assembly last Friday. Tulip spoke about her work as a parliamentarian and encouraged boys to take an active interest in politics. She talked about her constituency work, mostly dealing with concerns about housing, and the boys were surprised to learn about the cross-party cooperation in the framing of legislation for a range of issues. Boys were particularly keen to learn more about Tulip’s efforts to free Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, the British-Iranian citizen held captive in Iran. Tulip was very impressed by the boys’ knowledge and interest in current affairs.
Thank you for coming to speak to us!
