We are delighted to share the outcome of this year’s applications to senior schools.
There are 31 boys in Year 6 compared to 42 last year. Offers made by the most competitive north London day schools increased yet again with proportionately higher offers from UCS, Habs and MTS. Habs almost doubled their offers, including the award of four scholarships compared to one last year. Just shy of 50% of the year group was offered a place at MTS (three at 11+ and twelve at 13+). Offers from Westminster and St Paul’s also held up well; in fact, there are two confirmed places from St Paul’s with a further two on their reserve list.
Two St Anthony’s boys applied for Latymer Upper, where 1,100 applicants compete for just over 100 places, and both boys were offered places. It is pleasing to see connections re-ignited with schools such as Forest, Downside and The Oratory.
These outcomes underscore the importance of providing high quality teaching and co-curricular activities, with the aim of untapping the academic potential of pupils and securing the school that is right for each individual.
