The Debating Society enjoyed a successful programme of matches against Ivy House School, St Mary's School, St. Christopher’s, Devonshire House and Lochinver House School, as well as representing the school at the IAPS Debating Tournament. Pupils competed in both prepared and impromptu debates, consistently demonstrating excellent public speaking, persuasive argument, critical thinking and the ability to respond confidently under pressure.
The school achieved an outstanding third-place finish at the IAPS Debating Tournament, reflecting the boys' teamwork, adaptability and high standard of debating. The Society welcomed new Year 5 members, who made an impressive start by debating with confidence, enthusiasm and maturity throughout the season. The performed exceptionally against Devonshire House, winning all their matches. Across all competitions, pupils showed exceptional conduct, collaborating with peers from other schools while embodying the school's values of academic excellence and integrity. The Society has continued to strengthen its relationships with local prep schools through a series of enjoyable and competitive fixtures, providing valuable opportunities for pupils to develop their communication skills.
