The History of the School

Following his presentation to parents and alumni on Thursday evening, Nigel Watson, the author of the book on the history of our school, ‘The Story of St. Anthony’s’, returned this morning to present assemblies to both the Junior and the Senior Houses. The boys were introduced to what life was like at St. Anthony’s during its initial period in Eastbourne, to subjects that children learned all those years ago that we are still teaching in school today and to how some traditions, like the GAW, continue. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to realise that even though they will only be at St. Anthony’s for a relatively short period of time, they too are becoming part of a very important story.
