Year 8 Conflict Exhibition

Posted: 7th November 2017

Since September Year 8 have shown great maturity in their cross-curricular World War One centenary project. In conjunction with Drama and Music they began the term studying photography and the proportions of the human figure in the realm of conflict art. Students discussed formal and thematic elements of paintings by artists such as Goya and Howson before going on to create their own transcriptions of such works. The exhibition of this work in January was a pleasure to curate and I’d like to say a big thank-you to all the staff and parents who attended the show.
