Science
Science is the study of the world around us. Science enables us to make informed choices about the way we lead our lives and interact with our surroundings.
Science can be separated into 3 main disciplines:
• Biology: the study of the life and living processes of plants and animals
• Chemistry: the study of materials and their properties
• Physics: the study of physical processes including forces, electricity, magnetism, light and sound.
Our aims are:
• To develop an interest in and awareness of the increasing importance of Science
• To present boys with opportunities to carry out practical Science so that they can develop investigative skills, make observations and record data to inform their understanding of the world around them
• To prepare the boys for entrance (including Common Entrance) and scholarship exams.
