Drama
Drama at St Anthony's is primarily concerned with the development of pupils' imagination, self-confidence and self-esteem. The over-riding aim is to provide a safe, inclusive, non-judgemental environment in which pupils can work positively and creatively.
Pupils are encouraged to understand that, as in any creative endeavour, learning through trial and error is the process and that, in drama, one cannot be 'wrong'.
Through creative drama in the classroom and the experience of rehearsing and performance of plays, pupils will gain some key theatre skills.
However, this is not the primary objective. Every year, those in the Senior House interested in pursuing such skills have the opportunity to be in an after-school production of a Shakespeare play.
All those that wish to be involved can be and no-one is turned away.
Below are some photos of last year's production 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.
