“I have a deep-rooted belief that what has once existed can never die: not even the frailest things, spindrift or clover-scent or glitter of star on a wet stone. All is gathered into the web of creation, that is apparently established and yet perhaps only a dream in the eternal mind; and yet, too, we work at the making of it with every word and thought and action of our lives.”
George Mackay Brown
“In a higher world it is otherwise, but here below to live is to change, and to be perfect is to have changed often.”
Blessed John Henry Newman
Entry to the school is by assessment in order to determine whether a child will be able to work within the school's programme of study.
The usual entry forms are:
- Reception: for boys aged four becoming five.
- Year 1: for boys aged five becoming six.
- Year 2: for boys aged six becoming seven.
- Year 3: for boys aged seven becoming eight.
Following an initial enquiry, the school will respond in one of two ways:
1) An offer will be made of an assessment for entry - usually in the year preceding anticipated entry.
2) An offer will be made of a place on the school's waiting list for an assessment.
A number of assessment places are reserved in each year of entry for Catholic families and these families are also given priority on our waiting lists. Opportunities to visit St. Anthony's are organised when the prospective pupil is within two years of entry to the school.
Fees
The fees, due on the first day of each term, are as follows:
Junior House £4525 per term
Senior House £4650 per term
A full term's notice, or a full term's fees in lieu of notice, is required before a boy is removed from the school. No allowance can be made for absence, although details of insurance are available from the Bursar.
The Headmaster reserves the right to relinquish charge of any boy for a reasonable cause without previous notice.
Lunches are cooked on site and their cost is included in the fees.
Please note:
The above information does not form part of any agreement between the parents and the school. Although believed correct at the time of publication, certain statements may become out of date from time to time. Parents wishing to place specific reliance on a statement in the prospectus should seek written confirmation of that statement before accepting the offer of a place.
